Responsible gambling
An interesting question is not a reason to spend more than you planned.
Keep a limit separate from the odds
This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Before gambling, decide what you can afford to lose and how much time you want to spend. Keep that decision separate from the price on a card or a result you hope will happen.
Do not use money needed for rent, bills, food or other commitments. Borrowing to bet, raising a stake to recover a loss or repeatedly extending a session are reasons to stop and reconsider.
A percentage is not a promise
A high implied probability can still lose. A large potential return can mean an unlikely outcome. Neither the display percentage nor the calculator tells you whether a bet is suitable for you.
The return shown includes the original stake and is conditional on the selected outcome winning. Current prices, market rules and settlement decisions are controlled by the operator.
Notice when the pattern changes
Take a break if you find yourself checking prices compulsively, hiding what you spend, chasing a result or gambling to change how you feel. Switch off the session and give yourself time away from the board before making another decision.
If you have an operator account, check its available deposit limits, time controls and account restrictions. A limit only helps if it is set before the pressure to keep playing.
Talk to someone
You do not need to wait for a crisis to get support. The NHS guide to help for gambling problems explains signs to look for and routes to support. A GP can also help you find appropriate care.
If someone close to you is affected, support is for you too. Talking with a trusted person can be a useful first step.
